This has been a busy year with many custom orders being sent around the globe. The design process via email and photos has proved successful for custom requests from afar. I am based in Australia again, enjoying the sunshine and my studio, situated in a cosy corner of West End.

I am a Jewellery Artist based in
I am conscious of the environmental and cultural impacts of obtaining materials for the jewellery industry. In my practice, my works are predominantly created with reclaimed metals that I have sourced and salvaged, while aiming to keep a small part of their previous life intact in their new form. I create energetic pieces of jewellery that are to be comfortable, cherished and shared over time.
In early 2009 I was drawn to the statement ‘everything is devoured, nothing is savoured’ referencing the constant consuming by society, the hunger for ‘bigger and better’ and the sweeping-aside of history and tradition. By making works that encourages one to take a moment and pause, I want to draw attention back to the experience and appreciation for simple things and the value of it in our society. The pieces that stemmed from this period featured clusters of silver with shards of bubble glass, concrete, hand polished rocks and salvaged metals. Necklaces and pendants were predominantly the outcome, to be worn close to the body and as a little reminder of weight of our decisions on the environments around us.
In the second half of 2009 I was working on a large necklace that could encapsulate the idea of Oneness; the inter relations of each ecosystem and circle of life. Created entirely from recycled sterling silver the necklace titled All the Colours Fade to One became a multi component work that represents the synergy and co-dependence of all things in the world. The aim was to inspire a drawing together of people to think responsibly about the environment we live in.
In 2010 I have been working on diffusions of this necklace, making jewellery pieces that reflect the energy and visual elements which inspired the original.
